CTCs (Core Technical Competencies) are departments or teams within the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate focused on different tasks and research. While there is a lot of overlap between these CTCs and what they work on, they need visuals to convey their areas of focus. It was very important that I had an understanding of the visual elements that best fit with each CTC. As a summer 2018 intern at this directorate, it was my task to redesign their graphics in such a way that they were different but still fit together as a coherent series. CTC graphics historically have been made in the form of collage, so I decided to continue that method, but with a more fresh and polished look. I contacted department leads to discuss these new graphic requirements and made edits as they requested them. Once complete, they were printed as large scale posters as well as used in presentations and briefings.
